Sir and i are going to a New Year’s Eve Party, but it’s an early party, over by 9. It’ll be fun. {Yeah, it’s for old folks.}
Anyhow. i wasn’t real surprised when Sir told me He’d made the bed, and only a bit curious when He said to go see how He’d made it. But i shouldn’t have been surprised to see this:
Yep, from left to right, belt, spoon, wooden thing from the junkyard that i like, paddle {still in need of more sanding,} cane, new spreader bar with ankle cuffs attached, wrist cuffs, collar, and rope.
Here’s a closer look at the new spreader bar:
Does my Sir know how to welcome in a New Year or what?
i’m thinking youall won’t be surprised if i’m not posting early in the morning! 🙂
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hey, Fiona,
It was funny, during our vanilla party, i’d get mental images of the bed. Very distracting… in a good way.
Happy New Year!
aisha
I like your new spreader – with a little bit of a stain, it could be an “antique”!
Hi, Dave,
Yes, it sure could be. i’m sure it will be lovely once it’s been stained – oak, i believe. i’ll post pictures of it then too.

One of the very early conversations I had with Sir S was him explaining to me what a spreader bar was. I admit to having had quite an intense longing to try one out.
It appears a most wonderful evening is in progress. Happy New Year!
night owl, in bed with her Kindle
Hey, Night owl,
Hope there were good things on the kindle!
i’m pretty sure that 2013 has a spreader bar for you in it. i could be wrong, but it’s a strong feeling.
Happy New Year!
aisha
I am very willing to go with the hope and possibility of your feeling that there’s a spreader bar in my future. Hopefully a Dominant comes with it. 😉
On my Kindle, a quirky fiction novel by someone whose blog I follow and who follows mine. It’s so exciting to read someone I know who’s been published! “An Idiot In Love (A Laugh Out Loud Comedy).” So far, I’m laughing.

Happy New Year!! Have fun 🙂
Happy New Year, hallucinating martyr! Thanks.
🙂
aisha
You’re most welcome 🙂
how long is the spreader bar? it look rather short to me. I ask because I am thinking of making one.
Hi,
Thanks for reading, and for commenting!! i had to ask Sir how long the spreader bar is, so He responded. He says:
This is a fairly short bar. The intent here is not for maximum spread but rather to limit mobility during certain activities while allowing some safety without additional support. In the past I have had the adjustable metal bar type but have come to an affinity for wood, rope and leather, with as little metal as possible. The bar was purchased from a building supply as a standard 36 inch Deck Spindle Balluster. All edges were contoured and sanded, including the 3/16 inch (6 mm) drilled holes which allows conventional leather cuffs to be attached with rope. The bar is 36 inches (roughly 91 cm), the attachment holes are drilled at 32 inch (81 cm) centers and the rope leads on the cuffs are tied with bowline knots allowing 4 inches ( 10 cm) of movement. So minimum ankle spacing is 24 inches (61 cm) allowing movement out to 40 inches (101 cm). For more spread, the same design on a longer bar, or a bamboo pole for rope tying (no drilling), would be fine. Bedposts of course work fine for more spread than this with or without the additional spreader bar. (metric conversions are approximate). It will eventually be stained in an oak finish.
Thanks again for stopping in!
aisha
That description is oddly sexy. I must be feeling especially deprived. 🙂

Oh what a delightful find! 🙂 I hope that all of your toys were well played with and that all the lovely feelings last a while. 🙂
