i was complaining to Sir about not being able to post pictures of our cute outfits {ok, mine was cute, His was whatever the Dom equivalent of that is} because i didn’t want to show our faces. He says, “Well sure you can, just blur the faces. Send them to me, i’ll do it for you.”
i had not even thought of that!! Which just goes to show, sin, sometimes complaining is worthwhile ~ the squeaky wheel, and all that. But here they are.
This is my Sir:
That bright, shiny thing reflecting the light is actually a thermometer, but it looks like a compass. He has a flashing lights gun in his belt, and all kinds of weird and strange things attached to the belt.
And here i am:
Those are fishnet fingertip gloves, and they match my fringed shawl. You can’t see the boots, but they have laces up the back. The front of the dress has criss-cross ties like a corset ~ sadly, i do not have a real corset. Also, Sir made me a lavender collar to go with the dress, i didn’t think to ask Him to put it on me before we did pictures.
The hats were super cool. Here’s his.
Yes, it’s a rope headband, of course. And mine:
The band is actually purple, and of course you can see the feather and jewel in it. 🙂
It was very fun, being all dressed up in costume.
We left early this morning because we needed to be home by early afternoon, which is why i’m just now posting. More tomorrow ~ and i’ll get back to the 30 Days thing too!

I really like Sir’s 2nd Armored Division pin on His hat!!! “Hell On Wheels!!” Sends a chill down this Master’s spine. To say that 2nd Armored Division is legendary is a slight understatement.
2nd Armored was my Granpa’s Unit. He joined the Army in ’26 and was at Ft. Benning Georgia when WWII started. He was with 2nd Armored when they moved to Ft. Knox in ’42. I grew up in the’50’s in the shadow of Ft. Knox, rode in a tank at TWO years old. Yeah, I’m Hell on Wheels. Thanks for recognizing my subtle reference to my military heritage and my salute to the men of the 2nd Armored Division.
Wow, Sir X; you, your Dad, and Grand Pa witnessed the birth of the mechanized military…what an amazing thing to witness and experience. From the Sherman, to the M48, the M1A1 Abrams; what a journey to witness.

@Wordwytch ~ um, thank you very much, but um, i don’t sew. Don’t have a sewing machine. Haven’t used a pattern since um, 1999 or 2000, when i made a velvet-y gown for my daughter – like a robe, but cooler. It took me about 2 months to make. Before that, it was 1972, when i took home ec. But thanks!
@Master Charles, You are clearly a military buff, as is Sir X! He comes from a long line of warriors. i’m sure you two could have lengthy conversations about all things military. i thought it was cool that you recognized the pin on His hat.
