If you haven’t already read it, i highly recommend it It’s beautifully written, has just the right amount of humor mixed with pertinent facts, and makes a persuasive case against rape jokes. i already didn’t think they were ok, now i’m better able to explain why.

Wonderful link.. i feel the same about domestic violence jokes. “She had it coming” is not my idea of a punchline. Call me crazy..And yes….bdsm is just as if not more vulnerable to the sexist paradigm. I am proud to know a true pro-women Dom, but still, even He is vulnerable to unintentional sexism. The insidious nature of any “ism” is imo precisely what makes thinking we are immune to it so dangerous. Hope that made sense it’s early 😉

Yes, it is insidious and privilege makes it difficult for people who aren’t impacted by it to recognize it. But that’s a whole ‘nother topic…
