For all of us who mother someone,
who take care of them and love them.
And for all of us who find Mother’s Day difficult
Happy Mother’s Day
“The greatest thing she’d learned over the years is that there’s no way to be a perfect mother, but a million ways to be a good one.”

So nice, I will remember that, Happy Mother’s Day aisha.
Thanks, K. Hope you had a nice day… aisha
Happy Mothers Day to you!!
Happy Mothers Day to you, Sbf! Hope you had a good one. aisha
Happy Mother’s Day to you! 🙂
Thanks, back to you, Alujna. Hope you enjoyed it!
You put your finger on the heart of things dont you? Amazing. Wife and i were having that convo regarding the facebook thing of putting our mothers pic up in place of our own for the weekend?
Her point was that for kids who are now adults, who’ve been in the system, this is painful.
And frankly, it pissed me off that she’d rained on my parade, since i have so very few pics of my mom.
But i sat on it and thought about it..and can recognize that its not a happy day for everyone…pulling up my big girl panties…
it doesn’t have to lessen my pleasure, but it…informs me.
Good on you for being up on this.
You should be a therapist.
*grins*
Love and Happy Mothers Day, dearest heart sister,

Hey, ‘Nilla – Thanks for the career advice {laughing} i’ll certainly consider that!
Yes, you’re right though. It’s a dreadful day for a lot of people. Good for you on recognizing that!
Love to you to, and hope you had a good one.

I couldn’t help myself….
Dear Mick,
i was actually in bed last night when you posted this, but i heard my iphone ding and curiosity got the better of me. So this song was the last thing i heard before I went to sleep last night.
Um, thanks.
LOL

The irony. I think that the first and probably last time I listened to these lyrics was back in the late 60’s. But the first line particularly resonates now:
“What a drag it is getting old…..”
